RUSSIA IS A TERRORIST STATE?
Of course Russia is a ‘Terrorist State’ this is blatantly obvious to most people. When one nation invades another without provocation it immediately becomes so. Russia broke its legal commitments to the United Nations and it breached the Minsk agreement to Ukraine. Russian forces have committed serious war crimes.
They murdered civilians and prisoners that were under their jurisdiction in Bucha and Mariupol (amongst many others). People walking along the street were simply executed and left to rot while the Azov Steel survivors were placed in a building with an explosive device and killed.
The media is filled with opinions about what ‘we’ should do. We should take him to the Hague, remove Russia from the UN, we should send in assassins, we should, we should, we should.
It isn’t a matter of what we should do. It is a matter of what our governments can do. They are doing an awful lot.
If Putin and his Generals are to go in front of a war crimes commission the alliance have to win this war and gain enough leverage over Russia to release them. Winning the war is possible. A war crimes trial is highly unlikely.
Removing a nation from the UN cuts off one of the few avenues of negotiation and pressure that are still open. Removing a nation from the UN that the majority are unhappy with, sets a precedent that could undermine the whole institution. In spite of everything Russian Ministers are still attending meetings with the UN security council.
The democratic alliance has placed heavy sanctions on Russia that are going to have long lasting negative affects on the Russian population. Western governments are ensuring that Ukraine has the means to fight and survive. Ukrainian refugees are housed all over Europe.
What we can do is ensure that Ukraine wins the war.
What we should do, must wait until later.

Звичайно, Росія є «терористичною державою», це очевидно для більшості людей. Коли одна нація нападає на іншу без провокації, це одразу стає таким. Росія порушила свої юридичні зобов’язання перед ООН і порушила Мінську угоду перед Україною. Російські війська скоїли серйозні військові злочини.
