РОСІЙСЬКІ ЗМІ ПРИХОВУЮТЬ КАТАСТРОФІЧНУ ЗДАЧУ ХЕРСОНА
Крах російської армії під Херсоном та відступ за Дніпро залишилися поза увагою президента Володимира Путіна. Державні телеканали приховали від глядачів факт здачі міста та назвали виведення військ “перегрупуванням”. Пропагандисти мовчали або всіляко виправдовували рішення генералів.
У той час, коли міністр оборони Сергій Шойгу віддавав наказ про відступ, Путін зустрічався з головою Федерального медико-біологічного агентства (ФМБА) Веронікою Скворцовою, а потім брав участь в урочистому заході та нагородженні співробітників відомства, яке відзначає своє 75-річчя.
Там він виступив із промовою, але Херсон не згадав. При цьому один із нагороджених порівняв Путіна з Олександром Невським, якого назвав “збирачем російських земель”, і додав, що російський президент теж “повертає землі в лоно батьківщини”.
“Повна цензура щодо Херсона”, — написав у своєму блозі прокремлівський політолог Сергій Марков, але пізніше видалив пост, звернув увагу журналіст Олег Кашин. У телеграм-каналі пропагандиста Володимира Соловйова після публікації відео з доповіддю генерала Сергія Суровікіна з’явився репост із розкладом забігів у Москві. Потім він приєднався до кампанії з виправдання відступу та процитував секретаря генради “Єдиної Росії” Андрія Турчака, засновника ПВК “Вагнера” Євгенія Пригожина, голову Чечні Рамзана Кадирова та інших прихильників війни, які схвалили рішення командування.
Тим часом, на держканалах факт відступу з Херсона подали максимально невиразно. У новинах використовувалися розмиті формулювання. На “Першому каналі” те, що сталося, назвали “перегрупуванням військ”. Ведуча Катерина Андрєєва розповіла, що Суровікін доповів Шойгу про ситуацію в Херсоні, а “глава відомства підтримав рішення перегрупувати сили та зайняти оборону на лівому березі Дніпра”.
На телеканалі “Росія 1” повідомили, що Суровікін виступив із доповіддю, його зміст ведучий розкривати не став. Безпосередньо перед відео Міноборони було зачитано текст, у якому Херсон ніяк не згадувався — лунали лише фрази про те, що робиться все для збереження життів російських військових та цивільного населення.
На НТВ в анонсах програми розповіли про “нове рішення військового керівництва”, не уточнюючи суть. Ведучий повідомив про “тривожну ситуацію в районі Херсона”, яка “вимагає швидких і непростих рішень, зокрема, маневрів щодо перекидання російських підрозділів”. “Шойгу з цим погодився і схвалив пропозицію Суровікіна”, — йшлося в тексті. При цьому Путіна через відступ з Херсона не згадували ніде.
Раніше адміністрація президента підготувала методички на випадок здачі єдиної регіональної столиці, яку вдалося захопити після вторгнення в Україну 24 лютого, пише “Медуза”. Акцент робиться на те, що Херсонський напрямок — “найскладніший для армії на поточному етапі” війни, а Україна нібито готова “загробити десятки тисяч своїх та чужих життів” задля отримання нової допомоги від Заходу. При цьому російські війська представлені як гуманісти, які прагнуть зберегти життя мирних жителів і особового складу.
Також у методичці йдеться про підступи НАТО та бажання президента України Володимира Зеленського «влаштувати кровопролитне шоу», у тому числі за допомогою підриву Каховської ГЕС. Путіна у Кремлі пропонують порівнювати з Петром I, який “під час війни зі Швецією теж відводив війська до Полтави, і тим самим зберіг сили та переміг”.

The collapse of the Russian army near Kherson and the retreat across the Dnipro remained unnoticed by President Vladimir Putin. State TV channels hid the fact of the surrender of the city from viewers and called the withdrawal of troops a “regrouping”. Propagandists remained silent or justified the generals’ decisions in every possible way.
At the time when Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu gave the order to retreat, Putin met with the head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) Veronika Skvortsova, and then took part in a gala event and awarding of employees of the agency, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
He gave a speech there, but did not mention Kherson. At the same time, one of the awardees compared Putin with Alexander Nevsky, whom he called “the collector of Russian lands”, and added that the Russian president also “returns lands to the bosom of the motherland”.
“Complete censorship regarding Kherson,” pro-Kremlin political scientist Sergei Markov wrote in his blog, but later deleted the post, journalist Oleg Kashin drew attention. In the telegram channel of the propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, after the publication of the video with the speech of General Sergei Surovikin, a repost with the schedule of races in Moscow appeared. He then joined the campaign to justify the retreat and quoted United Russia General Council Secretary Andrei Turchak, Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov and other supporters of the war who approved the command’s decision.
Meanwhile, the fact of the retreat from Kherson was presented as vaguely as possible on state channels. Blurred wording was used in the news. On Channel One, what happened was called a “regrouping of troops.” Presenter Yekaterina Andreeva said that Surovikin reported to Shoigu about the situation in Kherson, and “the head of the department supported the decision to regroup forces and occupy the defense on the left bank of the Dnieper.”
The TV channel “Russia 1” reported that Surovikin gave a speech, but the presenter did not reveal its content. Immediately before the video of the Ministry of Defense, a text was read in which Kherson was not mentioned in any way – only phrases were heard that everything is being done to save the lives of the Russian military and the civilian population.
On NTV, in the announcements of the program, they talked about “a new decision of the military leadership”, without clarifying the essence. The presenter reported on the “alarming situation in the Kherson area” which “requires quick and difficult decisions, in particular, maneuvers to transfer Russian units.” “Shoigu agreed with this and approved Surovikin’s proposal,” the text said. At the same time, Putin was not mentioned anywhere due to his retreat from Kherson.
Previously, the president’s administration prepared methods in case of the surrender of the only regional capital, which was captured after the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, Meduza writes. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the Kherson direction is “the most difficult for the army at the current stage” of the war, and Ukraine is allegedly ready to “sacrifice tens of thousands of its own and other people’s lives” in order to receive new help from the West. At the same time, Russian troops are presented as humanitarians who seek to preserve the lives of civilians and personnel.
The manual also talks about NATO’s tricks and the desire of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to “stage a bloody show”, including by blowing up the Kakhovska HPP. The Kremlin offers to compare Putin with Peter I, who “during the war with Sweden also withdrew his troops to Poltava, and thereby saved his strength and won.”
