…а в УККА з Андрієм Футеєм на чолі — свято
Президент Українського Конґресового Комітету Америки (УККА) Андрій Футей повідомив на своїй сторінці в соцмережах про те, що УККА разом із Посольством України в США, Українською Національною Інформаційною Службою (УНІС), Свiтовим Конґресом Українців, відділенням УККА Іллінойсі, Обʼєднаними Українськими Організаціями Огайо, Обʼєднаною допомогою Україні, відділенням УККА в Джорджії, Відродженою солдатською Україною, Українцями в Баффало Нью-Йорк, Друзями України уже вдруге влаштовує свято (в ориґіналі — fete. — УСІМ) «Український тиждень» під гаслом підтримки України, яке у 2024 році проходитиме під час канікул у Конгресі з 15 по 24 червня 2024 року в місцевих виборчих округах та штатах по всій країні.
Спонсорована Українською Національною Інформаційною Службою (УНІС), Вашингтонським бюро зв’язків з громадськістю Українського Конгресового Комітету Америки (УККА), ця адвокаційна подія залишається важливою подією для українсько-американської громади, яка стоїть перед успішним проходженням законопроекту про додаткову допомогу Україні у квітні 2024 року.
10-денний захід з адвокації з 15 по 24 червня 2024 року буде використано як можливість особисто зустрітися з депутатами та сенаторами в їхніх місцевих окружних та державних офісах відповідно. Мета – подякувати вашим обранцям за підтримку додаткового законопроекту про Україну, а також ознайомити їх із актуальними питаннями, такими як:
— майбутній саміт НАТО;
— розблокування допомоги США у сфері безпеки для ударів по стратегічних цілях всередині Росії;
— розширення санкцій проти росії (зокрема російських банків і сторонніх осіб, які ухиляються від санкцій);
— визнання Росії державою-спонсором тероризму;
— військові злочини Росії, включаючи викрадення українських дітей;
— інші важливі питання, пов’язані з російсько-агресорською війною в Україні.
Від УСІМ:
На третьому році війни орґанізації українського зарубіжжя, з якими повʼязаний Андрій Футей, нарешті додумалися до того, до чого Орґанізаційний комітет Руху Світового Українства закликав ще на третьому тижні після повномасштабного вторгнення Росії в Україну. Жоден представник жодної з названих тут орґанізацій не додав свого підпису до цього Звернення. Жоден!
Здавалося б, за два з половиною роки війни можна й потрібно було налагодити широку інформаційно-розʼяснювальну роботу як серед українських громад у країнах компактного проживання українців, так і серед широких кіл населення або хоча б серед інтелектуальної та політичної еліт країн світу.
Нічого такого у лідерів названих орґанізацій не було навіть на думці. Замість того, щоб підняти на протести проти російської агресії й демонстрації на підтримку України якщо не всі сто, то бодай десятки мільйонів українців, ці активісти влаштовували камерні театралізовані вистави та просто вигулювалися на вулицях великих міст, ‘having good time’ (Андрій Добрянський).
Вони не тільки полінувалися підтримати ініціативу Орґкомітету Руху Світового Українства щодо орґанізації, а й зробили усе можливе для блокування інформації про пропоновані нами просвітницькі лекції, доповіді, презентації.
Зважте, наскільки нікчемним є те, що зараз влаштовують діячі, які переслідують лише одну-єдину мету — набрати собі очки для одержання чергових орденів і медалей від української влади.

The President of the Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America (UCCA) Andriy Futey reported on his page in social networks that the UCCA together with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA, Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS), Ukrainian World Congress, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Illinois Division, United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio, United Help Ukraine, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (Georgia Branch), Revived Soldiers Ukraine, Ukrainians of Buffalo, New York, Ukraine Friends, for the second time is organizing the “Ukrainian Week” fete under the slogan of support for Ukraine, which in 2024 will be held during congressional recess from June 15 to June 24, 2024 in local constituencies and states.
Sponsored by the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS), the Washington, DC public affairs bureau of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), this advocacy event remains an important endeavor for the Ukrainian American community on the heels on the successful passage of the Ukraine supplemental assistance bill in April 2024.
The 10-day advocacy event from June 15-24, 2024 will be used as an opportunity to meet in-person with Representatives and Senators in their local district and state offices, respectively. The goal is to thank your elected officials for their support of the Ukraine supplemental bill, as well as to acquaint them with prevailing issues such as:
— the upcoming NATO Summit;
— unlocking U.S. security assistance to strike at strategic targets inside russia;
— expanding sanctions against russia (in particular russian banks and third-party sanctions evaders);
— designation of russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism;
— russia’s war crimes including the abduction of Ukrainian children; and,
— other important issues related to the war of russian aggression in Ukraine.

In the third year of the war, the Ukrainian organizations abroad, with which Andriy Futey is associated, finally thought of what the Ukrainians Worldwide Movement Organizational Committee called for in the third week after the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine. No representative of any of the organizations named above has added his/her signature to this Appeal. None!
It would seem that during the two and a half years of the war, it was possible and necessary to establish extensive informational and explanatory work both among Ukrainian communities in the countries where Ukrainians live compactly, and among broad circles of the population, or at least among the intellectual and political elites of the countries of the world.
The leaders of the mentioned organizations did not even think of anything like that. Instead of raising, if not all hundred, then tens of millions of Ukrainians to protests against Russian aggression and to demonstrate in support of Ukraine, these activists staged chamber theatrical performances and simply walked the streets of the great city, ‘having a good time’ (Andriy Dobryanskyi).
They were not only lazy to support the Ukrainians Worldwide Movement Organizing Committee’s initiative regarding organization, but also did everything possible to block information about the educational lectures, reports, and presentations offered by us.
Consider how worthless it is that what the activists are doing now, who pursue only one and only goal — to score points for receiving the next orders and medals from the Ukrainian government.
