AS G7 GATHERING TAKES PLACE

In the most difficult days there are those who are pleasured by the conflict, pain and opportunities for imposition. This is the case with inter-nation, inter-organisational and inter-personal relations.
Shoigui is in occupied Ukraine as I write, after 2 days of heavy missile strikes, hitting mostly civilian targets. His presence is an exhortation for more death and destruction regardless of consequence, to teach the world about the impotence of civil society and rights.
This comes as the Baltic states understand that Ukraine’s suffering will soon be their common experience, with Poland likely to be the third in line, starting with missile strikes from Belarus and elsewhere.
A gathering of the G7 faces the consequences of russia’s cult and theology of war, so steeped are the people, that it cannot be stopped by sanctions and deprivation alone.
Once the cult and theology of war is rooted, only devastation can uproot it, and that truth, is what no one wants to speak.
In this war there is only depravity. It is this that evil worships and of all the gods, it is the worst, because it renders people senseless and immune to humanity, while others seek to benefit in politics, social standing, status, position and credibility.
The G7 are no Ephors, with power over russia. This evil is unbridled and wild. Feral people destroy, steal, rape and kill, for no reason other than evil.
The ideology has no vision nor guiding light. The death of millions is no matter, destruction and atrocity has no consequence. It is a dark and cruel sea that all humanity is pitched into now. No one will be spared.
It should be understood that the concept of aid and humanitarian support is largely a western concept. Others see it as a bargain, a trade, an opportunity.
So, as a gathering of the G7 takes place, we must accept a stark reality, tested and proven in history.
Evil is either vanquished and defeated back to its subterranean hovels, or it persists, grows and infects.
Sanctions and bans on the sale of gas, oil and now gold, as announced a few hours ago, will not subdue this monster. Only fire destroys fire. War demands war as its master.
These are the most difficult days…. darker and more inclined to suffering. I offer no hope nor prospect of a different forecast, because there is none.
Only when people stand and face the rigours of reality will an alternative be found. But that is not the case now.
It is these men in the photo that need to saddle the powers of war, if evil is to be subdued. It can never be tamed, nor civilised. Only contained by active use of force.
