After three months of silence, Angela Merkel came out in support of Ukraine
She called the war “barbaric”, according to Reuters.
Merkel said she would not give advice from outside but supported the government’s efforts to “put an end to this barbaric war.”
Oh, how relieved we are from such a statement.
Recall that Merkel constantly stated the need to continue communication with Putin even after the annexation of Crimea and the war in the East of Ukraine. And yes, we all remember Nord Stream 2, which was closed only by her successor Scholz…
