Occupy National Mall For Ukraine
Ed Skibicki, the founder of the Facebook group 1,000,000 Around the World in Support of Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, doesn’t do big events very often. The last one was 5 years ago.
Now Ed Skibicki initiates May Day For Ukraine to be held on the National Mall in Washington, DC, the Capital of the United States:
“Dear Ukrainian Community of America (and other concerned Americans):
“There have been gatherings of thousands in San Francisco, Washington,DC, New York, Chicago, and probably others that I am not aware of. These gatherings are great and I know firsthand the work it takes to pull them off.
Can you answer me this simple question:
Are you satisfied with our government’s actions regarding the war in Ukraine? I know Russia is doing the killing, but have you given up on the idea of influencing President Biden to change his policies? Do you think a gathering of 25,000 people or more on the National Mall would not influence our policy? Are you willing for these war crimes and crimes against humanity to continue?
The USA has done a lot, but if we are to remain a leader in the world, we MUST do more.
These are not rhetorical questions. I don’t really understand.

Ukrainians Worldwide Movement Organizing Committee (UWM OC) decided to support this initiative.
UWM OC suggests that its demands listed in the APPEAL BY REPRESENTATIVES OF UKRAINIANS WORLDWIDE & PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD WHO SUPPORT UKRAINE & UKRAINIANS IN THEIR WAR AGAINST RUSSIAN AGGRESSOR will be used during this event on posters of those participating in the demonstration.
