До річниці російсько-грузинської війни
Кожен рік восьмого серпня спостерігаю картину, коли мої приятелі стають експертами з Грузії.
Читати це в більшості випадків прикро. Чи могли Сумська та Харківська області (це і за територією, і за населенням плюс-мінус відповідає масштабам Сакартвело) самостійно без допомоги інших регіонів і держав відбити напад РФ? Очевидно, що ні. І ресурсів навіть такої великої держави як Україна недостатньо. І зусиль десятків західних держав з їхніми рейнметалами і локхідами недостатньо. НАТО тоді не дали
Грузії тоді жодного набою. ЄС ухвалив кілька резолюцій і все. ОБСЄ створила комісію Тальявіні, яка визнала, що наче сама Грузія винувата нарівні з РФ і сама почала війну.
Чудова підтримка, дуже дякую. Після цього реванш не на полі бою був питанням часу.
Дзвінок американського президента зупинив війну 2008 року. Але не повернув жодного сантиметра грузинської території. Більше того — американці після того зрадили свого партнера, “перезавантажуючи” стосунки з Путіним. Це клінічний факт. Як і те, що росіяни окупували з того часу ще кілька десятків квадратних кілометрів методом перенесенння кордону де-факто щоразу на кількасот метрів.
І їхні передові позиції у кількох сотнях метрів від єдиної траси, яка сполучає країну. І в сорока кілометрах від столиці. І жодна країна світу не ввела проти Росії за це санкці. І Україна станом на 24.02.2022, зокрема.
Це до питання, чи ми самі такі вже принципові та емпатичні щодо болю іншого. Є питання. Вже щонайменше 70 громадян Грузії загинули на цій війні. Іноді варто про це згадувати перед тим, як писати знецінюючі та порожні “думки”.

To the anniversary of the Russian-Georgian war
Every year on August 8, I watch a picture when my friends become experts from Georgia.
Reading this in most cases is a shame. Could the Sumy and Kharkiv regions (both in terms of territory and population plus or minus correspond to the scale of Sakartvelo) independently, without the help of other regions and states, repel the attack of the Russian Federation? Obviously not. And the resources of even such a large country as Ukraine are not enough. And the efforts of dozens of Western countries with their Rheinmetall and Lockheed are not enough. NATO was not given then
Georgia then did not have a single attack. The EU passed a few resolutions and that’s it. The OSCE created the Tagliavini Commission, which admitted that Georgia itself was as guilty as the Russian Federation and started the war itself.
Great support, thank you very much. After that, a rematch off the battlefield was a matter of time.
A call from the American president stopped the 2008 war. But he did not return a single centimeter of Georgian territory. Moreover, the Americans then betrayed their partner, “rebooting” relations with Putin. This is a clinical fact. As well as the fact that since then the Russians have occupied several tens of square kilometers by moving the de facto border by several hundred meters each time.
And their advanced positions are a few hundred meters from the only highway that connects the country. And forty kilometers from the capital. And no country in the world has imposed sanctions against Russia for this. And Ukraine as of February 24, 2022, in particular.
This is a question of whether we ourselves are already so principled and empathetic towards the pain of another. There is a question. Already at least 70 citizens of Georgia have died in this war. Sometimes it is worth remembering this before writing devaluing and empty “opinions”.
