New Hungarian President Katalina Novak condemned Putin’s aggression and supported Ukraine’s EU accession, according to the Hungarian news portal Telex.
During the inauguration ceremony on Saturday, May 14, Novak named 10 points that set out the position on the Russian invasion and attitude towards Ukraine.
“We condemn Putin’s aggression, an armed attack on a sovereign state. We will forever say no to all efforts to restore the Soviet Union. We Hungarians want peace here and in neighboring countries, we want peace, not war. We demand an investigation and punishment of the military crimes,” the paragraphs of her speech read.
