UN TRIES TO ENCOURAGE PUTIN NOT TO BLOCK THE PORT OF ODESA

“Millions of people will die around the world because Vladimir Putin is blocking Ukraine’s ports, a UN food chief warned on Friday. David Beasley, head of the United Nations World Food Programme, pleaded with the Russian president to end the blockade of Black Sea ports. Millions of people around the world will die because these ports are being blocked.If you have any heart at all for the rest of the world, regardless of how you feel about Ukraine, you need to open up those ports”, said Beasley on behalf of the UN to Vladimir Putin.
Beasley stressed that Odesa, which has come under regular Russian bombardment, and other ports needed to be operational within the next 60 days to avoid catastrophe for Ukraine’s economy which is heavily focused on agriculture, recently accounting for just over 40 per cent of its exports”. The time has come for the Rules Based International Order and its security institutions to consider that “pleading” with the current illegitimate war criminal regime of Vladimir Putin provides an avenue for this illegitimate regime to believe that it has legitimacy. Comments such as those made by Beasley and Guterres support and provide avenues for Russia to erroneously believe it has legitimacy to negotiate its abhorrent, unprovoked, illegal invasion of sovereign Ukraine. It has no such right and it certainly doesn’t care about the pleas of the civilised world.
This war criminal, terrorist, genocidal, Russian regime must not be negotiated with by any global rules based order institution, and they must not be given any reason to believe that any form of negotiation is possible – other than their full, immediate retreat from Ukrainian territory including Crimea.
The only avenue for dealing with Russia in this context is to defeat them military, and indict their leadership, parliament, and military to face criminal justice as war criminals.
The Rules Based International Order has done this before and it will have to do it again. Vladimir Putin’s Russian regime has no legitimacy, is not interested in our pleas nor the starving populations of Africa. It totally covets Odessa for its own evil agenda and its attacks on Odessa and the rest of Ukraine must be stopped at all costs.
The United Nations commentary on this war is failing abysmally and needs to address the Russian regime’s war criminal, illegal status urgently. The UN needs to overhaul its failed Security Council and address what the holes in its functions are producing in this war and in the world today. It is simply no longer acceptable and either needs to be rectified or dismantled.
Odessa must remain a free port and the responsibility of every nation to an integrated global food security must come first. For those who do not abide in this life necessity, extreme sanctions and urgent military intervention in this case has to prevail. Russia must be militarily driven back and totally defeated.
