TWO MEETINGS
Both Shameful. This is What Happened
February — the President and the Vice President of the United States verbally abused and attempted to shame the President of Ukraine, spouting rank lies about Ukraine and shutting him down when he was a guest of the White House. They arrogantly treated him with indignity and disrespect. They subjected him to shameful questions from “the press” about his clothing, openly jeered at him and then kicked him out of the White House. Republicans like Lindsey Graham, more concerned about “influencing” the White House join the anti-Zelensky tirade, even called for regime change, rather than lose their own credibility.
August — The president of the United States literally rolls out the red carpet for an aggressor, mass murderer and enemy of the United States. He refuses to subject Putin to what he intentionally subjected Zlensky to — press questions and criticism. He offers ZERO criticism of Putin and later described the meeting as a “ten out of ten,” even though there was no evidence of a ceasefire which Trump specifically said was a precondition of a second meeting. When Putin uses the platform at a United States military base to spread disinformation about Ukraine, Trump praises him and affirms him before a global audience.
Sorry, my dear Republican friends. As a man who has personally served as a presidential appointee in a Republican presidential administration, I want to be clear: You are not getting out of this one. I am fully aware that the spin doctors in the White House and at FOX have a grand and glorious story to tell, but two things stand in the way.
The first is the reality of the next steps – Trump’s meeting has created a reality where a maximalist and rehabilitated Putin, and a Trump highly flattered by the war criminal, both advance a plan for “peace” which is actually a death paradigm. If they are successful, the free world is in greater danger than now.
The second is history. History will remember something very different from the narrative President Trump presented on Hannity after the summit. Once the psychedelic drugs wear off, the horror of the moment will become more clear. Today, building on a seven month legacy which includes voting with communists, Marxists Leninists and Autocrats and against allies at the UN, and blaming the Russian invasion on the victims, President Trump did more to symbolically destroy the national identity of the United States as a beacon of liberty than all the crummy left wing presidents of the past who laid the foundation for this moment combined. Whatever “deals” may happen next, today established that they are built on a narrative of lies, manipulation and the abyss of transactional ethical chaos.

Обидві ганебні. Ось що сталося
Лютий – Президент і Віцепрезидент Сполучених Штатів словесно ображали та намагалися присоромити Президента України, поширюючи гидку брехню про Україну та закриваючи йому рота, коли він був гостем Білого дому. Вони зухвало ставилися до нього з образою та неповагою. Вони піддавали його ганебним питанням від «преси» щодо його одягу, відкрито глузували з нього, а потім вигнали його з Білого дому. Республіканці, такі як Ліндсі Грем, більше стурбовані «впливом» на Білий дім, приєднуються до антизеленської тиради, навіть закликали до зміни режиму, щоб не втратити власний авторитет.
Серпень – Президент Сполучених Штатів буквально розстеляє червону доріжку для агресора, масового вбивці та ворога Сполучених Штатів. Він відмовляється піддавати Путіна тому, чому він навмисно піддавав Зленського – питанням преси та критиці. Він не пропонує ЖОДНОЇ критики Путіна, а пізніше описав зустріч як «десять з десяти», хоча не було жодних доказів припинення вогню, яке, за словами Трампа, було передумовою другої зустрічі. Коли Путін використовує платформу на військовій базі США для поширення дезінформації про Україну, Трамп хвалить його та схвалює його перед світовою аудиторією.
Вибачте, мої дорогі друзі-республіканці. Як людина, яка особисто обіймала посаду президента в адміністрації республіканців, я хочу чітко заявити: ви не вийдете з цієї ситуації. Я повністю усвідомлюю, що спін-доктори в Білому домі та на FOX мають грандіозну та славетну історію, яку хочуть розповісти, але дві речі стоять на заваді.
Перше – це реальність наступних кроків: зустріч Трампа створила реальність, де максималіст і реабілітований Путін, і Трамп, якому дуже лестить воєнний злочинець, обидва просувають план «миру», який насправді є парадигмою смерті. Якщо вони будуть успішними, вільний світ опиниться в більшій небезпеці, ніж зараз.
Друге – це історія. Історія пам’ятатиме щось зовсім інше, ніж наратив, який президент Трамп представив на Hannity після саміту. Як тільки дія психоделічних препаратів зникне, жах моменту стане більш зрозумілим. Сьогодні, спираючись на семимісячну спадщину, яка включає голосування з комуністами, марксистами, ленінцями та автократами, а також проти союзників в ООН, а також звинувачення жертв у російському вторгненні, президент Трамп зробив більше для символічного знищення національної ідентичності Сполучених Штатів як маяка свободи, ніж усі жалюгідні ліві президенти минулого, які заклали основу для цього моменту, разом узяті. Які б «угоди» не відбулися далі, сьогодні встановлено, що вони побудовані на наративі брехні, маніпуляцій та безодні транзакційного етичного хаосу.
